Manufacturing Bespoke Manilla Files
Standard ‘off the shelf’ files are produced by the major manufacturers whose fully automated machinery has the capability of mass producing over a million files per week. This allows mass production of inexpensive products that are supplied for the benefit of the price conscious stationery market place. However, low cost mass produced products can often mean that quality, strength and durability can be sacrificed in order to achieve a budget price, and because of speed of production it is simply unfeasible to produce a strong tailor-made special.
This is where bespoke production can provide a solution
At Coex, we will only manufacture to your order. This means we can produce exactly what you need whether that be thousands of specially printed files, a small run of extra thick files, or specially printed divider sets, etc. etc.

Firstly the manilla board is ordered specifically for your order which is then guillotined to the individual sizes required for your job.
From here the manilla can be printed on our large format lithographic presses that can print onto board up to 800 micron (0.8mm) thick. Then the job moves on to be cut and creased from a forme or just creased to give the expansion creases that allow the product to be folded to the size and shape needed.
Finally it moves on into the factory for finishing where it will be subject to a number of manufacturing processes which could include folding, stitching (stapling), round cornering, hole drilling / punching, tabbing, brass eyeletting, metal or plastic fittings insertion, cloth reinforcing or gusseting, full surface gluing and edge gluing.
Even for simplest job it is not unusual for as many as ten individual production processes to be applied before a product reaches its completion.
